The College of Architecture was founded in 1994 and has the following three Departments: mechanics, architecture , civil engineering and art design, as well as an Experimental Center of Architectural engineering and an Institute of Architectural Design. The College offers the following undergraduate programs: civil engineering , architecture,and art design, enrolling 680 full-time undergraduate students.
The College has a teaching staff force of 35, including 3 professors, 11 associate professors, 17 lecturers and 4 assistants. The College attaches great attention to practice in engineering and research activities, and thus has accomplished quite a number of important architectural projects of design, and has made important progress in research and development of construction technologies of urban and township flat buildings, new types of building materials, the mechanical performance of joints of frameworks, micro-mechanical performance of materials, the finite element method of lines for structural analysis of compound materials and other fields.
